Our Place

Eight Ranges wines are grown in our boutique vineyard of just under 3 hectares. Situated on the edge of a high terrace in the middle of the Alexandra Basin, amidst spectacular mountains in the Central Otago region of New Zealand.

The vineyard overlooks the Clutha River between Alexandra and Clyde and is located just above the Central Otago Rail Trail.

Reviews

Perfumed and pure aromas of cherries,
pureed raspberries, citrus peel, graphite
and earth. The palate is medium-bodied
with seamlessly integrated tannins and
high-tension acidity. So refined with
generous texture and a high level of
precision and polish.

It's gorgeously
ripe and perfumed on the nose showing dark cherry, sweet plum, roasted
hazelnut, mushroom and rich floral aromas. The wonderfully weighted palate
delivers excellent fruit purity together with stylish complexity, finishing
wonderfully long and velvety.

Bright, fresh,
varietal and new with aromas and flavours of dark cherry and red currant,
layers of soil spice and mild wood influences. Taut cool climate textures
with firm-ish chalky tannins and medium+ acid line then flavours of tart
cherry and red berry fruits. Ready to drink through 2028
